The Opportunity:
In your role as a Vehicle Technician, you will be authorised and responsible for the following on all European makes and models of car.
Conducting full examinations of vehicles (including vehicle health checks);
Identify non-routine defects and faults either in the workshop or during vehicle road tests;
Technical knowledge to confidently and safely carry out repairs and maintenance of customer vehicles
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and a passion for fixing things right the first time
Perform complex diagnostic testing and repairs on vehicles and be competent and confident with all repairs including replacement of timing chains, engine replacements and any other work required to be completed.
repair and servicing of customer vehicles in accordance with technical standards;
Provide a knowledgeable, courteous, responsive, and efficient service to all colleagues and workshop customers;
Work closely with the front of house service team, ensuring they are kept informed of the progress on customer vehicles and are fully briefed on work completed;
Discuss technical issues/works directly with customers when requested;
Offer technical advice and support as required
Work with the wider workshop team to design and implement new methods of work to improve efficiency.
About You:
You will need to be an experienced Vehicle Technician who is passionate and cares about their workmanship.
Have Light Vehicle Automotive Qualification (Trade Certificate)
Current C class manual drivers licence
Physically fit and able to meet manual requirements
Ability to work within defined processes and guidelines, and to promote best practice throughout the workshop;
Be customer focused, possess good communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to a non-technical audience;
Have a first-time fix mentality, along with openness and transparency.
Committed to the development of your technical knowledge and skills;
Be a team player, whether mentoring or supporting other Technicians;
Have a passion for the industry and a desire to succeed.
